This AD was prompted by a report of a wing separation caused by fatigue cracking in a visually inaccessible area of the lower main wing spar cap. Piper has issued two Mandatory Service Letters addressing potential cracks in bolt holes, fatigue cracking and corrosion damage in the lower main wing spar on the Piper PA-28 and PA-32.
