Nextant Aerospace Launches New Program for Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP As It Continues To Expand Remanufacturing Infrastructure

  • Nextant Aerospace Merges with Air Services to Expand Global Remanufacturing Capability
  • Nextant Business Model Evolves in Response to Long Term Changes in Business Jet Market
  • Company Launches TBO Extension Program in Conjunction with Pro Line 21 Cockpit Upgrade for Beechjet/Hawker 400XP Owners and Operators

CLEVELAND, OHIO, June 13, 2017– Nextant Aerospace, builders of the 400XTi, G90XT, and newly announced Challenger 604XT – Today announced it has merged with Air Services, a leading provider of off wing services including component repair and overhaul, PMA capability and composite manufacturing and repair.

“Since launching the 400XT/XTi program, it has become clear that that we need to evolve our business model in response to significant changes in the global pre-owned aircraft market,” stated Stephen Maiden, CEO of Nextant parent, Constant Aviation. “The severe decline in value for young, pre-owned inventory has placed an overwhelming focus on value for aircraft owners and operators. The cornerstone of our brand has always been to deliver fully integrated product solutions, but now, we are going to look for new and creative ways to lessen the financial burden to operators while still providing long-term pathways to a complete remanufactured product.” Mr. Maiden continued with, “I have tasked Mark O’Donnell with running the day to day operations of Nextant as we move into the next phase of our evolution.”

“The 400XTi program has been extremely successful with over 70 deliveries to 13 different countries around the world,” stated Mr. O’Donnell. “While we believe that is the right end game for the Beechjet airframe, we understand that not everyone is able to justify the $3M required for the 400XTi conversion. With this in mind, we have created a program that allows operators to take the first step of upgrading their cockpit technology to meet the pending regulatory mandates and obsolescence issues they are facing and we have combined it with an industry first TBO extension that allows the overhaul interval for the Pratt and Whitney engines to increase to 5,400 hours,” offered Mr. O’Donnell. “This extremely cost effective solution (priced at just over $500K total), allows operators to minimize capital outlays while still receiving the advanced technology benefits of the new cockpit and taking the first step towards the 400XTi.”

Mark O’Donnell went on to state, “Jim Clifford recently joined Nextant as Director of New Product Development and I was very impressed with the efficiency in which he led the effort to obtain this STC. He brings with him a wealth of experience that will be invaluable as we continue to expand our brand in the global market.”

The new TBO extension program incorporates a full Pro Line 21 cockpit upgrade (which includes a 4-display system, Synthetic Vision (SVS), ADS-B Out, WAAS/LPV and the Nextant glare shield modification standard) along with a hot section and STC that will allow operators to increase their TBO interval to 5400 hours. All of this will cost just over $500K and more information is available at www.NextantAerospace.com.
